These popular tea gatherings are typically held in the tearoom inside the University Library, CSU Sacramento. The tearoom was named Karakuan 嘉楽庵 by Zabosai Oiemoto, sixteenth generation master of Urasenke Konnichian. Gatherings are open to University students and faculty as well as those who are interested in the Way of Tea. Reservations are necessary. If your school or community group would like to schedule a visit, please contact Maria Ramirez at 916.278.5954.
For more information, go to the California State University Library website.

Educational Gatherings

The Foundation welcomes school groups (kindergarten through university) and other groups for lecture-presentations at its tearoom facilities. These occasions are individually designed to the interests of each group such as language, literature, aesthetics, philosophy, or history. Please telephone 415.433.6553 to make arrangements.
